The MomòRide project launch evening hosted 54 participants from 35 companies based in the municipalities of Balerna, Chiasso, and Novazzano.
After the institutional greetings from the three sponsoring Municipalities, the co-financiers Regional Agency for theDevelopment of Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio and lastminute foundation spoke.
Then came the more technical moment, retracing the steps that led from the regional mobility plan to the MomòRide carpooling project.
The engaging interactive survey launched during the presentation of the Mobalt app, a key tool for the initiative's implementation, highlighted interesting social aspects related to carpooling, which stimulated discussion.
Last but not least, a greeting from BancaStato, sponsor of the first collective charity challenge that will soon be launched among MomòRide carpoolers.
During the evening, it became clear how MomòRide fits into a sustainable mobility program built by and for the local community, with the goal of making carpooling a concrete and accessible solution. This system thrives on collaboration between public and private stakeholders and, step by step, aims to transform an everyday problem into a shared opportunity.
The evening concluded with a convivial aperitif, a valuable opportunity for exchange and new connections between company representatives: a good starting point, because now the challenge is to transform the enthusiasm and relationships born into concrete actions.
MomòRide is a Project promoted by the municipalities of Chiasso, Balerna, and Novazzano in collaboration with the Regional Agency for the Development of Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio, lastminute foundation, the Pian Faloppia Economic Development Pole, and Mobitrends SA.
